This is the most common question we get, and the good news is your pen isn’t missing anything. Every PepPen ships fully assembled in its own bubble wrap, with the cartridge holder already attached. Here’s where it is.
Why it looks like it’s missing
Most people unscrew the pen in the middle, see the threads, and expect the cartridge holder to be sitting there. On the V2 and V3, it isn’t. The holder is attached to the threads that join the two halves, and it sits underneath the front metal cover.
How to find it
- Screw the pen back together if you’ve taken it apart.
- Hold the pen body firmly.
- Pull the front metal cover straight off. Don’t twist, just pull.
- The cartridge holder is right there underneath.
That’s it. Load your cartridge into the holder, put the cover back on, and you’re ready.
“Then what’s the clear glass tube?”
That’s a cartridge, not a pen part. Cartridges are sold separately (or included in our kits), and they’re what holds your solution. If you ordered cartridges, they’ll come in their own package.
